FLOCKD HOUSE RULES

TERMINOLOGY USED IN THIS DOCUMENT

• Flockd refers to Flockd, its ownership or affiliates.

• Member refers to the undersigned member of Flockd.

• Member Organisation refers to any business entities associated with a Member.

• Services refer to the services and amenities provided by Flockd.

• Guests are all non-members who are invited into Flockd.

HOUSE RULES

Flockd is a shared, collaborative, and open workspace. For everyone to peacefully coexist, there are some house rules that we must all follow:

1. Respect the nest.

Leave it better when you go than it was when you got there. Be considerate and respectful of others. Put things back where they belong, push chairs in, clean off workspaces, and erase whiteboards. Remember, we’re in this together.

2. Put some Beats on your beak.

At Flockd, the universal sign for "do not disturb" is a set of headphones. If others have headphones on, that's a sign they have serious work to get done. If you are easily distracted by someone on a call, a good set of headphones are a must.

3. Don’t be a Squawkatoo.

Phone calls in the open space are fine, just talk at a normal volume and be aware it’s an open space with background noise. When things get hectic, the phone booth will be your best bet if you need to hold aggressive negotiations or yell at someone. Feel free to take a walk outside or use the insulated quiet of your car.

4. No Bowerbirds here.

Keep it tidy. When you leave for the day, please keep your space clean and throw away your rubbish. Note that the refrigerator is emptied every Friday. When you use the shower, please bring a towel, and use the provided spray and wipe down when you're done.

5. All Creatures Great and Small.

We love pets! But we also love rules. Please review the Pet Policy if you plan to bring in a furry friend.

KEY INFORMATION

Flockd is a community so please let us know how we can make this place better. If you have suggestions for the playlist, or want different snacks in the kitchen, we’re all ears. Front doors are open Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm and the Community Host is generally available from then. If you find a lost bird or see one out of place, please tell the Community Host.

PARKING

There is ample street parking on Acanthus Avenue, just around the corner from the Flockd building. Visitors to the building are welcome to park in the four Visitor spaces or the four pull up spaces at the Café. Note these spaces are limited to a 2hr maximum parking duration and are strictly monitored. Violators risk having their vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.

WIFI

Wireless Internet is available for all Flockers. The wifi name Is “flockd-wifi”. On the 1st of each month the Flockd wifi password will change. To ensure your access is not interrupted, please confirm that your email details are always current and correct with the Community Host, as the password will be sent via email days in advance.

PRINTING

Printing at Flockd is available as part of your Membership. If connected to the Flockd Network the printer can be added by selecting Fuji DocuCentre. If at any time, printing fails to work wirelessly, a USB cord can be found on the printer. Flockd has a Fair Use Policy on printing, and any abuse of this use will not be tolerated.

FURNISHINGS

Flockd provides Members use of furnishing in all areas. The furnishing provided is the sole property of Flockd. Furnishings may never be removed from the building. Any damage to Flockd furnishings by Member is the sole responsibility of the Member and may be liable for the full replacement cost of any items damaged by Member. Any damage to Flockd Furnishings by Guests is the sole responsibility of the Member. Flockd does not guarantee Flockd furnishings for any particular purpose or usage.

Residents are permitted to bring furnishings and belongings provided they fit in with the Flockd aesthetics. They must be left within the reserved space only. Flockd is not responsible in any way for Member Furnishings or belongings, they should be safeguarded by the Member.

SHOWER

The shower room is made available to Flockd Members.

• Only one Member may be in the shower room at a time.

• Members must remember to lock the shower room door after entry.

• Members agree to clean the shower room when finished.

• Members will report any issues with the shower room to Flockd staff immediately.

KITCHEN GENERAL

• Do not leave anything in and around the sink.

• If you are manually washing up, please dry and put away.

• Please ensure kitchen benches are always kept tidy.

• Please do not put your food containers in the dishwasher. Instead, please take these home to be cleaned. If you decide to wash them up, you must wash, dry, and take them away.
